Dr. Kathy Hickey is a Kitsap County native who returned to school to follow her dream of becoming a veterinarian when her children were in grade school. She received her doctorate in veterinary medicine from Washington State University, graduating summa cum laude in 2006, and is a member of the national veterinary honor society Phi Zeta. Dr. Hickey is a past-president of the Washington State Veterinary Medical Association and the founder and president of the Peninsula Veterinary Medical Association. She was selected as a top veterinarian for Seattle Met Magazine in 2013 and 2014. Her special interests include surgery, dentistry, challenging internal medicine cases, and preventative care. She values the relationship she builds within our community and strives to provide each client and patient with compassionate, high quality care. In her free time Dr. Hickey enjoys backpacking, hiking, reading, volunteering in the community, and spending time with family and friends. She and her husband have two young adult children and several rescued pets, including dog Canelita and cat Libby.
